Insta-pro has always been forth coming with its customers and potential customers. In the past, whenever we received a Request for Quote, we made sure to speak openly with our customers about the financial benefits of their project. Together we have conducted feasibility studies to ensure the customers’ project is feasible and profitable. All companies like to sell, but our goal is to become partners with our customers for life. We are not in the market to make a quick sale and profit. Our goal is for you to get the full picture to assure you are making the right financial decision. The total financial impact of a capital investment is much more than the initial price.
In order to make financial benefits clearer for customers to understand, our management team developed a tool known as the Insta-Pro Total Cost of Ownership Calculator. In my own experience, I had two cases in Egypt that looked more positive after I shared the facts listed below and explained the benefits of buying Insta-Pro machinery after paying an initially higher price, but from the first year customers will begin to recognize the benefits.
Insta-Pro always shares the costs and benefits associated when purchasing our machines. Some examples include:
- Regular replacement of wearing parts, cleaning, lubing, inspecting, adjustments, etc. ($/ton)
- Cost of down time (lost Margin to Down time)
- Equipment replacement time (in some cases, we still have extruders operating after 40 years as competitors’ equipment lasts no longer than 5-10)

After presenting the calculator to my potential customers in Egypt, they asked for additional information from the competitors to compare the facts I presented to them, and the results were very positive.
